The Hermanus trails have an excellent variety of flowing trails to technical bits. Amazing vistas. It criss crosses the Hemel en Aarde valley. It is well maintained

The Hermanus Mountain Bike Trails are absolutely beautiful. The trail is extremely well maintained by Kobus and his team. The trails vary in terrain - from cycling through a forest, through wineyards, some dirt roads, rocky terrain and lots of elevation (depending on the route). If you're lucky, you get to spot one of the few peacocks in the forrest. There are a few technical spots too and the bridges are safe and wel maintained. It's definitely a highlight of my week when I get to cycle the trails.

Hermanus has a very wide variety of trails for all tipes of riders. With great views and challenges it can be both pleasant and relaxed at the sam time. There is only one way to experience it. Come and ride. You wil not regret it 🤙🏻

I have ridden the Hemel ''n Aarde Trails for over 6 years. The trails were good to start but are constantly getting better thanks to our awesome trail builders. The trails are well marked and maintained.
A ride for all levels of MTB from novice to expert. Knarly rocky climbs, flow through the forest, jeep tracks in the orchards, or technical downhills: and always outstanding views overlooking the valley and ocean. Wineries and restaurants are dotted along the route, not to forget the Hermanus brewery at the start/finish.

I ride the trails all year round. They are by far the best trails in South Africa. The trails cater for all levels, are constantly being maintained and even new trails being developed. Regardless of weather, the trails hold up well against the elements. The views and scenery are breath taking. To me, they really are the best trails in South Africa. A must for any keen biker.
